North Dakota State Cross Country Dominates Summit League Championships

Bison Win 10th Straight Title

Individual, Team Victories for NDSU

Fargo, N.D. – The North Dakota State University (NDSU) cross country teams swept the Summit League Championships on Saturday, October 29th, 2023, at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Sisseton, South Dakota.

The Bison women won their 10th straight league title, while the men captured their ninth consecutive championship.

Impressive Performances

Individually, NDSU's Anna French and Jacob Rodin took home the individual titles.

French, a junior from Fargo, North Dakota, covered the 6,000-meter course in 20:27.1, while Rodin, a sophomore from Bismarck, North Dakota, completed the 8,000-meter race in 24:38.9.

Team Success

In the team standings, the Bison women tallied 27 points, well ahead of second-place South Dakota (50 points). The NDSU men also cruised to victory, scoring 23 points to easily outpace runner-up South Dakota State (51 points).

All five Bison scorers finished in the top 10 in both races.

Success Continues

NDSU's cross country teams continue to dominate the Summit League, having won every conference championship since joining the league in 2012.

The Bison will now turn their attention to the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, which will be held on November 11th in Ames, Iowa.

Bison Football Update

In other NDSU news, the football team improved to 9-0 with a 28-14 victory over South Dakota on Saturday.

The Bison are now one win away from clinching their ninth consecutive Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) national championship.
